After taking his office, the President has emphasized the importance of vision and university development strategy, enthusiatically constructed and launched the Commission for Vision Development Promotion while participating actively in vision development and promotion conference and faculty workshop, being deeply interested in and fully supporting for the vision of “site-oriented university cultivating the best professionals” andestablishment of 5-year university development strategy.
Management philosophy of the President
Ansan University is looking for dream and developing students potential. The reason why the youth comes to university is because he or she has a hope to realize his or her precious dream in mind. Ansan University will fully play a role of large bowl refining and bringing up the passion of the youth who desires to make hopeful future.
The university will differentiate itself as a ‘site-oriented university’ cultivating the best professionals. Excellent faculties of Ansan University prepare for competitive curriculum and seek for substantialization of curriculum. The university will strengthen its ability to employment by taking top 5 universities in employment rate nationwide by strengthening vocational education by majors and expanding face-to-face contact between faculties and students.
Ansan University will seek for continuously developing university by establishing detailed development strategy by departments and sections and focusing on the 4 development strategies: the strengthening of educational foundation; the strengthening of employment ability; the strengthening of specialization; and the strengthening of leadership with love and respect’.
President’s suggestion of directions in Vision TFT meeting
A vision is the direction and goal of university. What is the most important is that all the members become one in practicing the vision and development strategy of university after establishing them. Thus, the vision of university must be known to all the members and must not be too abstract or descriptive or just shouting. The university needs a vision which can be easily known to and practiced by students and teaching assistants.
The university shall be faithful in the idea of school foundation- ‘cultivation of professionals having Christian spirit’. It is important to establish the vision and development strategy consistent with the purpose of establishment of the university that it will cultivate talents who will be able to make service with love and respect”
It is necessary to make a strategic approach for enhancing various indicators required in the project for strengthening of educational ability and WCC. In addition, the university maintains and develops the programs for cultivation of global leaders.
The establishment of vision and development strategy in this time must be the one under which predictive management is available for predicting and preparing for at least next 5~10 years and establishing fairer system.
Focusing on these matters, the members of university are expected to cooperate with each other within fair rule and devote in cultivating professionals having Christian spirit
